Bio: CINEMATIQ is the nation’s only quarterly printed publication on the art, culture and business of cinematic portrayals dominated by images of the African Diaspora. This magazine will highlight, discuss and critique Black images throughout various film genres. The team of writers and artists, led by Angel Brown, is made up of film journalists, critics, enthusiasts, scholar, and artist of color aiming to give distinct perspectives and help balance how such images are examined and reviewed. Angel independently publishes and distributes CINEMATIQ magazine quarterly along with a digital entertainment supplement for current subscribers which highlights film, TV and theater related events from around the world.
